Heaving Bag

A weighted throw bag designed to safely and accurately pass a line between boats, docks, or to a person in the water. The bag gives the end of the line enough weight and shape to throw farther, while the rope pays out behind it.

In boating and marine use, it’s commonly used for:

• Passing a line from a boat to a dock or another vessel

• Getting a line to someone in the water during a rescue

• Passing the light heaving line first, then using it to pull over a heavier dock line, towline, or mooring line

• Emergency situations where you need to get a line to someone quickly and accurately

• Marine safety device holding 50-90 ft of floating rescue line
